Our spring launch party

What a beautiful spring we’re having here in London. The blossoms have scented the air and the explosion of fresh leaves and lush plants are making our city greener and ever more beautiful. It’s the perfect time for a little gathering, and that’s exactly what we did on May 18th!

Special thanks to our friend Matthew Childs for the photos!

To celebrate the launch of Sarah Hunt’s Do Yoga Anywhere deck and our new Mini Meditations books – Mini Meditations on Friendship by Enoki and Mini Meditations on Love by Kay Medgalia – we had a little party! We were honoured to be invited to use shop-gallery-cafe-studio-wellness space Hello Love (if you’re near London, we highly recommend you head to Southampton Row, near Holborn station, to visit).

We had a mini exhibition of original watercolours by Enoki, who you can also see above perfecting the display. These paintings were the original artwork behind what became Mini Meditations on Friendship. Enoki did a series of posts for us recently about how she went from concept to painting to editing and finalising the artwork for the book – it’s really detailed and you should absolutely go read it here! The original paintings are on sale at Hello Love along with a selection of prints.

You’d be this proud too if you had made such a gorgeous book!

We also launched the amazing Do Yoga Anywhere by Sarah Hunt, which includes illustrations by Liminal 11 co-founder and Luna Sol Tarot artist Kay Medaglia. Sarah’s concept has come to life beautifully and we’re so proud of this deck!

Sarah is a seasoned yoga teacher, so she took some of our party guests down into the studio to demo the Do Yoga Anywhere decks. It was so much fun! Sarah Hunt is always so vibrant and makes yoga truly exciting. It’s a real joy to join her for yoga – check out her Disco Yoga classes!

Ah! Now that we’re all limbered up, it’s back to the party!

It wouldn’t be a Liminal 11 party without tarot readings! You can see our co-founder Darren Shill here reading the tarot with our friend Ikale Sunflower.

Look out for a special interview with Ikale Sunflower, coming soon on our blog! Meantime, check out her videos and her amazing tarot collection here on her YouTube page.

Since we all mostly work from home, it’s a proper treat when team Liminal 11 get together! We were sorely missing our Ireland-based sales manager Steve Walsh, but Kay, Darren and marketing manager Sarah Wray got a few family photos in!

And here we are with our creators. From left to right, it’s Sarah Hunt, Darren Shill, Sarah Wray, Enoki and Kay Medgalia is sitting down in front.

As well as the exhibition, yoga and tarot readings, we had fun catching up with friends over vegan nibbles from the Hello Love cafe. Our creators signed their books and cards, and we floated around feeling the love and friendship all around us.

It was really wonderful to spend some time celebrating with friends, family, colleagues and fellow creators in such a gorgeous space. We at Liminal 11 HQ have been busy as bees working on projects like our Modern Witch Tarot deck and other autumn books like 365 Gentle Reminders, Folk Magic & Healing and The Essential Vegan Toolkit – it’s easy to get bogged down feeling anxious about the future, so this was a perfect (and necessary!) dose of right now to help us keep our heads in the present and bask in the rewards of so much hard work.

Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you at our next event. We’ll be at the London Tarot Conference in June – be sure to come find us there!
